Q: What kinds of items can be exchanged on this website?
Household members can exchange any items that can be used by someone else (e.g furniture, books, toys, bikes etc). Companies can exchange any business related items once they are in a usable condition (e.g empty containers, packaging, seconds, production by-products or overruns, office furniture etc).

Q: Is there a charge to use the Website?
There is NO FEE to use the website. The website is supported by Cork County Council, Cork City Council, South Cork Enterprise Board and Macroom E. All household items offered on the site are offered free of charge. The majority of business related items are also free but some items may have some charge (below market value) which can be negotiated with the company advertising the item.

Q: How do I remove my listing from the web page?
The quickest way to take your listing off the web is to login using your account details and then go to `Edit/Delete Your Listings' and from there you can chose to delete your listing. You can call us or e-mail us if you have difficulty. If you had a successful exchange, please tell us about it - other people will get interested if they hear of success stories and the website can grow which means there will be less waste going to landfill. Q: What do I do if my listing is displaying incorrectly?

If your listing appears incorrectly or not at all, just email us with the details as you wish them to appear and we will post it for you.

Q: Who Can Use This Website?
This website has two parts depending on your needs. If you are a member of the general public looking for domestic type items (i.e things you want for your home or your personal use) then click on Household. If you are an organisation (business, non-profit, school or hospital etc) wanting to advertise items from your organisation or looking for items for your organisation, then click on Commercial, Institutional or Industrial. Or feel free to search both sides of the website to see what's on offer!

Q: What items will the Website Not Accept?
Waste Matchers is designed for items that would otherwise be discarded. Some business items may be sold for a small fee. However, selling used or new items at market value is not permitted.

Q: Can you collect my Unwanted item?
Waste Matchers doesn't collect items. All transport arrangements are made between the interested parties. We simply act as a contact point.

Q: Can you store my Unwanted item?
Waste Matchers doesn't store any items.
